OUTLAW with book and lyrics by Kate Mulley and music by Andy Peterson is a timely musical about the Australian outlaw Ned Kelly. Born to an Irish convict and an Irish immigrant, Ned Kelly was a young man of extreme intelligence and fierce convictions. Stubborn, quick-witted and raised to question authority, he quickly made enemies and drew admirers. Kelly stood up to the injustice of the Victorian police and became an outlaw. This new musical explores the lengths to which Kelly went to fight inequality and injustice, and the lives of the family he left behind.
